Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 5, 2026 · Revision: 2026-09-05
These conditions set expectations for using JoeLog responsibly. The legal operator identity, business address, governing law, and dispute process are not yet published. Registration also does not currently record acceptance of a specific terms version, so those matters require resolution before these terms should be treated as a complete agreement. Send legal or support questions to aubergine@joelog.com.
Accounts and authorized users
Provide accurate account information, protect your password and recovery codes, and use multi-factor authentication when appropriate. Organization owners and administrators are responsible for invitations, role assignments, and removing access that is no longer needed. Do not share credentials or use another person's account.
Lawful and careful use
Use JoeLog only for lawful recordkeeping and collaboration. Do not probe or bypass access controls, disrupt the service, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, scrape other users' information, or use the service to facilitate an unlawful acquisition, disposition, possession, or transfer.
You are responsible for having authority to enter firearm, contact, location, invitee, transferee, document, and identity information. Do not expose another person's sensitive data merely because the application provides a field for it.
Firearm-law notice
JoeLog organizes records; it does not provide legal advice or determine whether a transaction, transfer, possession, storage practice, or record satisfies federal, state, tribal, or local law. You remain responsible for the law that applies to you.
JoeLog is informed by federal firearm recordkeeping requirements, but it is not currently an ATF-compliant electronic recordkeeping system and must not be used as one.
Your records
You retain responsibility for the records and files you submit. You must permit JoeLog and its service providers to process that material only as needed to authenticate access, store and display records, create requested outputs, send service messages, protect the application, and operate its features. Do not submit material you lack permission to use.
Availability, changes, and account action
Features may change and maintenance or failures may interrupt access. JoeLog does not publish an uptime, support-response, backup, disaster-recovery, or data-recovery guarantee. Keep any independent records required for legal compliance or continuity.
Access may be restricted where needed to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or preserve service integrity. Final suspension, termination, export, retention, and account-closure rules are not yet published. Account closure must not be assumed to erase regulated records, audit history, or provider-held data immediately.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
JoeLog is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. JoeLog does not warrant that records will be accurate, complete, or free from loss, or that any transaction, transfer, possession, or storage practice you record satisfies the law that applies to you.
You use JoeLog at your own risk and are solely responsible for maintaining independent records where the law, or your own judgment, requires it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JoeLog and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost records, or lost profits, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid JoeLog, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Email aubergine@joelog.com with legal or support questions. Do not include sensitive data unless JoeLog first provides an approved way to transmit it.
